Amy joined the conveyancing team at Nash & Co as a solicitor in February 2022 and was promoted to an Associate Solicitor in May 2023. She previously worked at a local law firm for nine years where she trained and qualified as a solicitor. Amy has practiced as a solicitor in residential conveyancing since October 2016. Prior to qualification, Amy gained invaluable experience working as an assistant in a busy conveyancing team and consequently knows the process well. Amy studied Law and Sociology at Cardiff University and graduated with a First Class Honours Law degree. She was awarded a scholarship for her academic achievements and commitment to law and practice and went on to obtain a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at the University of Plymouth. Experienced in running a varied caseload, Amy deals with all aspects of the conveyancing process including the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, shared ownership, help to buy and right to buy schemes, transfers of equity and remortgages.

Use twice, very happy twice

I came to Nash & Co through a recommendation, which they thoroughly lived up to. During my first purchase with them I was very stressed out - calling Amanda at least once a week. Despite this she remained friendly, cheerful and professional throughout - long after I would have lost patience!
My second purchase has been quite complicated, but Amy, Alia and James have doggedly stuck with it, sorting out a lot of complicated detail for me in a calm and professional manner despite quite a bit of pressure from the other side. I'm completely happy with all the work done on my behalf.
Special mention to Claire on reception who is also super-helpful. This really is a firm where proactive, helpful and friendly professionalism is the ethos going all the way through. They make me feel included but also supported and protected, which is pretty much what I want from a lawyer.
Can't recommend enough.

Seriously impressed

Everything moved very quickly. Amy and the residential conveyancing team were very reassuring and helpful. The app was superb - I wish we had known about this for our last house purchase - seriously impressed with that. Highly recommended.

Absolutely terrific throughout

A superb law firm, with some lovely people working there! They helped us sell our house and move into a bungalow nearby and were absolutely terrific throughout. I genuinely couldn't have asked for more. Emily, James and Amy were all extremely helpful.

We used Nash&Co to purchase our new house. Everything was handled very quickly. In particular Amy & James were really good and were always happy to answer any questions.

I recently used Nash & Co. for advice on and drafting documentation to resolve some complex trust law and inheritance tax issues. David Cornelius and Amy Douch were good communicators and gave excellent advice - and after careers in both accountancy and the law I know the difference between good and bad in this field! They gave reasonable fixed fee quotes and completed the work promptly. I would definitely use them again.

I also used Nash & Co.'s conveyancing team for the sale of a residential property owned by the family trust. Conveyancing is a bit of a commodity product and it is difficult to differentiate between firms. The team of Amy Paterson, James Kerswill and Amanda Pickman stand out for their prompt, clear advice and speedy turnaround of documents and enquiries. If one member was away from the office another could, and did, pick up the file and do whatever was needed to prevent the sale from stalling. This was clearly not happening with the solicitors used by the purchaser. Nash & Co. were not the cheapest quote I obtained for the sale but given their performance I would say their fee was good value.
