Rashid Uzzaman is a Senior Immigration Solicitor and has been advising on UK immigration matters for over 15 years. Rashid specialises in all aspects of business and personal immigration matters, including Tier 1 (Entrepreneur and Exceptional Talent Migrants), Tier 2 (General, ICT and Sportspersons), Tier 4 (Students), Tier 5 (Temporary Workers) of the Points Based System and Sponsorship Licence Applications. He also specialises in auditing businesses for compliance with the immigration rules and provides training on how to implement and maintain an effective system of compliance in the workplace.
Since qualifying in 2015, Rashid has worked across a range of industries requiring legal help with migration to the UK, he also has experience in the following sectors:
- Sports law, including the hiring of sportsplayers such as footballers and motor racing drivers
- Public sector including judicial reviews
Rashid is recognised for his ability to appreciate his clients’ needs and provide robust solutions and strategic advice. He is known for providing a high-quality client service and for his extensive knowledge of UK immigration law. Additionally, his fluency in several key languages and ability to problem solve allow him to regularly exceed client expectations. He is able to converse fluently in English, Bengali, Hindi, Sylheti and Urdu.
As part of his education, Rashid studied an LL.B (Hons) degree in Law at Nottingham University and later obtained a Pg. Dip. in Legal Practice (LPC), with Distinction Grade at the Nottingham Law School. He subsequently obtained specialist immigration qualifications through the Law Society IAAS, achieving Senior Caseworker Status in June 2013 and Supervisor Status in June 2015.

Visa application
Me and my husband have had a long wait to be together and I don’t know where we would be if we didn’t have the right support and guidance with our visa application

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to UVS Law for their outstanding support and professionalism. A special mention goes to Rashid Uzzman, who has been handling my immigration matters for nearly 10 years — from fighting a deportation case to more recent applications.
