Maria is a specialist matrimonial solicitor and also heads the family department with expertise in associated financial and children matters. She is a member of Resolution and is dedicated to finding amicable solutions for her clients and avoiding court proceedings wherever possible. Originally from Norfolk, Maria brings a wealth of experience to Hatch Brenner. Maria conducts much of her own advocacy and has appeared in the High Court on an appeal of a decision to refuse interim contact to one parent. She has experience of guiding clients through complex and highly emotive proceedings and does so with sensitivity and compassion. Maria also advises on cohabitation, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. She completed her Degree in Law with Psychology at Staffordshire University and then went on to complete her legal practice course at The College of Law in Birmingham. She qualified as a solicitor in 2005 at a firm in Middlesex and comes to Hatch Brenner having spent the last 7 years as an Associate Solicitor and Head of Child Law at a firm in north west Norfolk. In her spare time, Maria enjoys running, yoga and keeping up with her two children. She is also President of the Aylsham conference of the St Vincent de Paul Society charity, fundraising and supporting those in need in the local community.
