I started work in the legal sector in 2002 initially I commenced work as a paralegal doing conveyancing and then moved to practice in criminal defence work in 2004. I enjoyed the role that much I decided to pursue it as a career and started to study law via the CILEX route which was at that time known as Ilex. I studied from home whilst working full time and completed my police station accreditation in 2009. I became a fellow of Cilex and immediately moved on to get my advocacy rights and became the first person to graduate as a fellow and advocate with Cilex at the same time as I achieved the goals I set myself in a very short space of time due to determination and dedication to my career despite being advised it wouldn’t be possible. I am passionate about my job and have represented many clients from as young as 10 years old. I have covered a wide variety of work to include cases involving complex proceeds of crime proceedings. Also high profile cases such as the Hinckley Road explosion in 2018.
