Mark works as a solicitor in our Abuse Compensation Claims department. He has well over 30 years’ experience in dealing with a wide range of personal injury claims most recently in relation to extremely vulnerable clients with psychological injuries which led him into this area of law. He represents both adult and child survivors of abuse. He handles claims against diverse groups including local authorities, schools and colleges, prisons and detention centres, religious and charitable organisations, the armed forces, and private companies. Mark is both approachable and empathetic towards his clients and able to build trusting relationships whilst offering straightforward advice to ensure justice and achieve the best outcome for them. He has received training on working with survivors of abuse and has delivered training to charities who support survivors of abuse. The Abuse Compensation Department acts for clients from across the UK. Mark is predominantly based at our Dewsbury and Penistone offices but is available to meet with clients at our other offices. He also attends home visits where necessary for clients who are unable to travel. Outside of work, Mark enjoys following football and rugby and playing golf.
