Helen qualified as a solicitor in 1996 having completed her training at a large commercial firm in Birmingham. She originally practised in commercial property but shortly after qualifying decided that she wanted to be a private client lawyer and since then has specialised in this area. She has a wealth of experience in Wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney and estate planning. Helen advises on Wills, including the use of trusts to protect assets passing down the generations of a family and to protect vulnerable beneficiaries. She can advise on inheritance tax, estate planning and has extensive experience of acting in high value and complex estate administration. She can also advise on agricultural and business property relief claims. She spends 100% of her working time dealing with Private Client issues. Building long term relationships with her clients is very important to Helen and she is committed to working closely with them, their accountants and financial advisers to give holistic planning advice; often acting for different generations of the same family, clients praise Helen for her professionalism, attention to detail and empathetic approach. Helen is a member of the Private Client Section of the Law Society and she is also a Dementia Friend. In addition she has also completed bereavement training which can help with assisting clients at a difficult time.
