Following her Law Degree, Faye went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bloomsbury. Faye then joined a Kent law firm in 2014 as a paralegal before commencing her Training Contract in 2016 and qualifying in 2018. Faye works as a solicitor in the Employment Department and provides specialist advice and guidance to both employers and employees in the following areas; drafting, reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements and severance packages; managing day-to-day employment issues such as disciplinary, ill-health, capability, redundancy and grievance procedures; advising on dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing claims including representation in proceedings in the Employment Tribunal; advising on changes to terms and conditions of employment and breach of contract disputes; advising on post-termination restrictions; and drafting, reviewing and advising on employment contracts, consultancy agreements, company policies and procedures. Described as sympathetic and understanding, client service is of utmost importance to Faye and she strives to deal with client issues promptly in an effort to alleviate the concerns that her clients have during what can be a difficult time for them. When dealing with both contentious and non-contentious work, attention to detail is key and Faye is always thorough in the advice that she provides whilst ensuring that it is concise and easy to understand. Faye understands the importance of getting to know her clients to be able to understand their business’ needs. She has developed excellent relationships with her commercial clients who know they can trust her advice when dealing with an employment related matter or dispute.
