I am a Chartered Legal Executive based in the Swindon office family law department Care Team. I assist and advise parents who are dealing with care proceedings. These are cases where a Local Authority has become involved with a family due to concerns regarding the care of the children, and these concerns are so serious that the Local Authority have started the pre-proceedings process or have started court proceedings. I have had a strong interest in law since I was 13 years old. After completing my A Levels at Cirencester College, which included an A Level in law, I joined Bevirs in 2014 as an Office Junior. Shortly after, I worked as a Legal Secretary for a Solicitor in the Care Team, whilst I studied in my personal time to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive. In 2018, I completed my studies and began work as a Trainee Legal Executive, advising clients and running a case load. In 2021, I successfully qualified as a lawyer after demonstrating my experience, and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).

Communicating with Michelle has been outstanding from the very start. Video call for initial consultation was very informative, Michelle explained all information needed during the call.
Leading up to the court date Michelle kept me updated on what was required.
