Rachael Allison and her team Special Needs Education

5

I had been going around in circles with the local authority and school SENDCO trying to get the best educational placement for my autistic son. He was being isolated within his mainstream school, unable to see any other children and was on a reduced timetable having frequent suspensions. He was in a trauma response every day at school. I moved to a different mainstream who were much more supportive but still could not offer the support he required. The local authority were unhelpful, combative and resistant to any dialogue to find a special school placement. From the moment I decided to send an email enquiry to Boyes, I had a call back from Rachael and I immediately felt like my son and I had someone in our corner, with his needs and welfare at the centre. Jack will start his specialist school placement in September 2025 and I really don't think we would be in this position without the work from Rachael and her team. I was kept updated with all stages of work and the process. All the fees were set out and initially when quoted I didn't think I could afford to instruct, however as fees are spread out monthly it is much easier to manage and doesnt require massive upfront funds. I would recommend Rachael and her team to anyone who needs support for special needs education, until the statutory education system has been reformed to provide our special children the education they deserve.

EHCP awarded

5

After being in the Tribunal queue and trying on own for 2 years to get a proper EHCP in place across 2 counties, my daughter did receive an appropriate EHCP, but only after engaging Boyes Turner. Direct negotiation with the Local Authority was effective.

I felt informed all the way through the process. A good experience overall. Would use again.

Secondary school placement

5

My husband and I have worked with Boyes Turner twice (EHCP application and secondary school placement). Everyone we worked with explained everything to us in great detail. We always felt their support was the very best for our son. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

excellent, supportive, professional service

5

Our solicitor was highly professional and supportive, and went the extra mile for our complicated appeal to the SEND Tribunal. We had got to the point where we were struggling to 'see the wood for the trees' and her strategic and detailed legal guidance throughout the process, combined with her impressive attention to detail and tenacity and drive in the hearing happily led to a successful outcome. She was supported by similarly professional and supportive colleagues.
