I recently had the pleasure of working with Mark at Hibberts and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. From the very first consultation, Mark was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive to every detail.

Appalling communication
I used them for a land purchase. First time I had ever done this, Hibberts solicitor Oliver Lewis failed to communicate effectively with me on what to expect, the processes and the costs from the outset. There seemed to be little interest in responding to my phone calls and questions. When I got frustrated, pulled out of the purchase, and complained about the way he had managed the communication, the team closed ranks - despite earlier admissions by one of the partners that the communication had been poor.
All it needed was regular communication to avoid misunderstandings - but it appeared to be just a case of going through the routine motions rather than engaging with me as a customer. Unimpressed and wouldn't recommend Hibberts,.
A representative from Hibberts LLP responded to this review on 16 January, 2025:
Our client care letter made it clear from the outset what our fees and disbursements would be. The client pulled out of the transaction just prior to exchange of contracts and then complained when informed of what the abortive costs would be. They now accept that they had misunderstood the client care letter. We dealt with the matter under our complaints process.

Commercial Property Purchase
Tom assisted us with the purchase of a commercial property was was exceptional every step of the way. He was always on hand to answer questions and provide clarity at every stage and ensured that the purchase went through in a timely manner. Having dealt with a number of lawyers in the local area previously Tom was without doubt the best I have encountered and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is dealing with a similar matter.
