As a family, following a recent health scare, we realised that we should really make plans for the future to provide as much protection and control over family assets and health as possible, but didn’t know where to even start. We had an initial meeting with Gemma who explained the value in creating a family trust and ensuring that powers of attorney are in place for both health and finance. We didn’t really know about any of these things beforehand, and it is obviously quite a sensitive and emotional subject to be dealing with, making plans for end of life/potential for serious illness in future, but also talking about finances in the same conversation.
