£6 Million Negligence Claim: Abels Solicitors and Samantha Jeanes Fail
Solicitor: Samantha Jeanes
Firm: Abels Solicitors
Case Type: Public/Private Law Children Act Proceedings
Client Type: Father facing safeguarding failure and legal bias
Abels Solicitors were instructed by CAFCASS guardian Tracy Manyika in a case involving serious safeguarding concerns. Samantha Jeanes was the solicitor responsible for preparing the matter for trial. Her conduct throughout the proceedings was deeply negligent and professionally unacceptable.
Despite having access to critical safeguarding evidence, Jeanes failed to submit key documents, mishandled disclosure obligations, and ignored repeated instructions. Her preparation actively undermined my legal position and failed to protect the child’s welfare. There was no meaningful challenge to false narratives, no independent advocacy, and no commitment to best practice.
This representation did not reflect independence or neutrality — it appeared aligned with CAFCASS and local authority positions, leaving the child without genuine legal protection.
I am currently pursuing formal complaints with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Legal Ombudsman, alongside a civil negligence claim exceeding £6 million.
This case illustrates a serious breach of public trust and legal ethics. I strongly advise against instructing Abels Solicitors, especially where the wellbeing of children or safeguarding issues are at stake.
