Excellent

I can’t thank Matthew enough for the support and guidance he provided during an incredibly difficult time. From the moment I first reached out, he was professional and understanding.
He handled my non-molestation order with sensitivity and efficiency, always keeping me informed and making sure I felt empowered and protected throughout the process. His knowledge of the law and calm reassurance helped me feel more in control when everything felt overwhelming.
I truly felt heard and supported every step of the way. I would highly recommend Matthew to anyone going through a difficult family situation—they not only fight for your rights but treat you with genuine care and respect.
Thank you For everything Matthew

On meeting the 1st time with the solicitor Jonny Cockayne I found him polite, approachable and very knowledgeable and explained all aspects in the process service. All the legal affairs where carried out professionally and I am pleased that my affairs have been carried out with great ease for myself.

A solicitor who stood by me during my hardest time

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Matthew as my solicitor during what has been the most difficult and emotionally draining period of my life. From our very first conversation, I could tell he was not only highly capable but also someone I could trust. What stood out to me right away - and ultimately made me decide to instruct him - was the confidence and clarity with which he explained that he could represent me directly in court. As a capable Law graduate, he removed the need for a separate barrister, which gave me both practical and emotional reassurance.
Throughout the case, which involved a complex divorce and international elements, Matthew remained calm, professional, and highly responsive. I always felt he had my back, and his empathy and sound advice made all the difference.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Matthew to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and trustworthy solicitor - especially in complex family matters. His commitment to his clients is evident, and his approach is both human and razor-sharp.

Probate Advice

Following my husbands death I had no idea where to start with the seeming mountain of paperwork to be sorted. Visited Annaliese at R Reeds and came away from that feeling so relieved that I could at least see light at the end of the tunnel. Annaliese was kind, patient and very helpful, I will most definitely return for advice on my next steps.

Kind and Compassionate Throughout

Annaliese was very helpful, kind compassionate and professional. She was also very personable and friendly, putting us at our ease.
She guided us through the minefield of being an executor and the probate process, offering us the best advice possible.
She also helped us make our wills. Again, no simple matter, but it has given us peace of mind knowing that if the worst were to happen, our children will be well looked after and have less to worry about.
All the administration and reception staff we spoke to were also very professional, friendly and polite.
I would have no reservations recommending Richard Reed Solicitors to my friends and family.
Thank you to all.

Review of Services

I am writing to share my experience with Richard Reed, which I found to be unsatisfactory due to several factors that significantly impacted the overall process.

The duration of the transaction was prolonged, primarily attributed to what I can only describe as a lackluster approach from the team. Communication was poor, particularly in navigating the complexities of working with a young, first-time buyer. This lack of support was disappointing, especially given the importance of empathy and understanding in such situations.

Throughout the process, I felt that there was a noticeable absence of compassion or empathy, which are essential qualities in customer service. Instead, I encountered numerous excuses that shifted blame away from the team, rather than taking responsibility for the delays and frustrations experienced.

Additionally, I found the handling of my concerns to be unprofessional. When I expressed my frustration, the response was to threaten to terminate our conversation, rather than addressing the issues at hand. This reaction seemed disproportionate and indicative of a thin-skinned approach, which is surprising for a team in this industry.

Given my experience, I would advise potential clients to reconsider using Richard Reed. The lack of effective communication, empathy, and professionalism in handling customer concerns has left me with little confidence in their services.

As a first time buyer, it can feel quite daunting when the house buying process starts. Nicola and Joanne have been nothing but fantastic. They made the buying process so hassle free and their communication was excellent - cannot fault them one bit!
