This is my experience with Christine at Nicoll Brimble B
It was an exhausting experience ( buying my house was less stressful ) and would recommend to not use this firm. I have very little legal knowledge but requested based off common sense the renunciation to be actioned ASAP ( as I was acting as exec) , it was told in good faith this wasn't required. This lead to a delay, stress & heartache during the most difficult time in my life, if the renunciation was done as per best practice and also as per my request on two separate occasions. As this was not done the legal executor as per the Will had instructed a separate law firm as they are well within right to do so 6 months, after instructing NBB. I note the executor could have pushed back but we would have held control. I had to pay the executor before the grant was awarded effectively being held to ransom! I closed the case with Nicholl Brimble instructed a separate firm and managed this myself as it was the easier option. This lead to NBB writing of the work in progress as liability for causing such failure. although this was a year ago this process as haunted me ever since.
I don't know why didn't feel to carry out best practice.
