The service provided by my Conveyancer Haroon Ahmed was mediocre. He did not seem to know the answers to questions raised, he tried to sell us products that were not relevant to the issues that were raised, and there were issues that were missed that were only dealt with as a result of us (the client) raising them. He did seem to be trying his best, but I am not sure that this was any comfort. The only thing we were sure of, was that Convey Law's only interest is trying to make as much money as possible through additional fees. There were errors in the original welcome pack which has resulted in incorrect charges, we signed up through Optimus based on the promise of a "Fixed Fee service" which Convey Law challenged at every turn. We raised a formal complaint which finally resulted in Convey Law confirming that they would not charge over and above the original "fixed" quotation - and we have still been charged an extortionate amount of incorrect charges on our final statements, which were not provided to us until the DAY of completion, which left us with no choice but to pay the requested amount otherwise the whole chain would have been severely impacted and unable to move. Convey Law are now in receipt of ~£1300 of my funds for invalid charges, and of course have no urgency in resolving the matter and refunding my money. The exchange process was an incredibly painful experience and took nearly 2 weeks of trying to exchange (on a daily basis) to successfully exchange. We received a number of complaints from otherside solicitors and estate agent about lack of communication or ability to get hold of Convey Law at critical times, which nearly resulted in the chain falling through due to the resulting stress and anxiety to all parties in the chain. Convey Law would do well to remember that moving house is one of the most stressful things a person will do in their lifetime, but they have absolutely no regard for the human beings that they are working for or being paid by, but instead only have one interest, which is maximising profit. I would not recommend Convey Law to my worst enemy, and I will endeavour to make sure my voice is heard in relation to my extremely harrowing experience with Convey Law. This has been an extremely stressful all-consuming experience which has dragged out for 5 months. The only acceptable reply from Convey Law to my review, will be to tell me the date I can expect my refund.

Nightmare, no response to emails or phone calls. After 3 months we fired them andBromets Jackson Heath LLP exchanged in 2 days. The same update every week:

20/01 - We have reported to our client regarding replies to enquiries received from the seller's solicitor. We are preparing our file for exchange and await sign off from our audit team in order to proceed.

Used Convey Law for an extension to mortgage and change of borrowers. The first solicitor appointed didn't respond and was replaced. The second did not seem knowledgeable in terms of the process, lacked attention to detail in letters, and didn't send accurate information to the lender. It is still ongoing and I'm not confident this will be finalised soon.
Stay clear of this firm, may more and go with a trusted organisation.

I have recently sold and bought a property and Convey Law handled these transactions for us. They were so professional at every level. The communication from our Conveyancers Jordan and Jodie was second to none,at every stage of the process they either emailed or called us. The portal they supply is very user friendly. The costs charged were broken down clearly and were very reasonable. I would highly recommend using their services as they are superb.

I can't begin to explain the level of incompetence from 2 case handlers, especially Samera Saddiq3. An extra 6 months of time wasting and then I was over charged by £1000

Awful service and now I have to complain to the legal ombudsman

This was a simple buying process with no chain attached, and it took 9 months and almost 4 times the price initially quoted.

There is a part of bad luck in this as my initial conveyancer left... after 5 months on my transaction, and was replaced by a much more efficient conveyancing team (thank you Alana and Laura).

But the whole process was extremely mishandled, and the cost is outrageous. Half of the items were not quoted or misquoted, and I did not have an update on costs for almost 6 months despite regularly requesting it.

As a result, not only did I fall into the stamp duty hike but my conveyancing costs on their own went through the roof. I must admit though that they have cut some of the costs at my request, but not enough in my view for the grief I have been through.

I would certainly not recommend using Conveylaw - the people I have dealt with are indeed agreeable and professional, but their process is broken, and the costs are just too high for the level of service.
