I would use them!

I would avoid doing business with PLS Solicitors. I was doing a remortgage, so time was of the essence. I would have thought PLS Solicitors would have understood this. They took days to respond to emails and ask for documents that I had already sent. Their communication was extremely poor and have much to be desired. In the company, it seems that the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Adding to all that, I was sent another client redemption statement. I can’t believe that I paid over £1000 for this service. I wouldn’t use them or recommend them to anyone.

Horrendous first time buyer experience

My experience of PLS has been absolutely horrendous, they were virtually uncontactable throughout the process and I wasted many hours on the phone waiting for someone to pick up. Every single document I submitted or progress that should have taken place I had to chase to ensure they had received or actioned correctly. An example of this (of which there are many more) is when issued with my 'final bill of costs' which was incorrect I was told 'we weren't sure if you were using a mortgage to purchase the property' of course by this stage I already had my mortgage approved and has already been submitted to PLS as my proof of funds, it took 4 attempts at my final bill of costs' to get it close to accurate, although I am still contesting an inaccuracy that I decided I had to pay to avoid slowing the procedure down even more. They requested duplicates and even triplicates of some documentation claiming they had not received it or giving a loosely linked (and untrue) reason as to why they needed further documentation or duplicates. Every step of the journey was stressful, drawn out and completely inefficient. 6 months after beginning of the process, the week of exchange came, at this point I was asked to resend information which had been sent 5 months prior and not sent to the relevant parties - this slowed exchange by a week. Nobody took ownership or responsibility for my case and their service was appalling front start to finish. I would avoid using them at all costs.

Bought my new build home using PLS as my solicitors. Fantastic service throughout communication was consistent. I wanted my completion date bought forward by a week and they communicated with my builders to make this happen. Siborne Anthony ans Dan we’re great.

I had dealings with several employees at PLS. Caroline, Alex and Rubina from Legal Unit 3 were very helpful throughout. They were willing to assist my enquiries at any time and as a first time buyer I was very unsure on a lot so had lots of questions. It was very easy to get in contact with them and o would recommend PLS again. I am very grateful for all of their help during the moving/buying process. I completed within around 3 months and it was a very smooth process.

Faultless service

We bought our first home earlier this year and used PLS as our solicitors. As first time buyers, our knowledge of the conveyancing process was limited and we felt that PLS more than helped to fill the gaps in our knowledge and put us at ease. We were kept informed of the whole process as it was happening and any questions we had were answered promptly. Completion was smooth and without a problem, we were in our house within 9 weeks which we were so pleased with - especially as we had two Help to Buy ISAs to deal with too. Would happily recommend the conveyancing service at PLS to anybody.

Choose better, PLS is not the firm for any home buyers out there

If there’s one thing you do to ensure you have a stress free or rather a minimal stress home buying process, it’s to avoid this firm at all costs. Even if it is ‘highly recommended’, do not do it.
S They do not respond to emails, avoid your calls, do not follow up on any tasks, and partners who are handling your cases disappear on annual leave without handing over your case to anyone else, leaving your home buying process in limbo if someone has jetted off to Spain with their family.
When buying a home, buyers deserve peace of mind and to feel comfortable with the advice they are given. I could not detail a single moment where I have felt that with this firm. I implore you to make better choices than I did and go with someone else. Paying clients deserve better and this firm is not it.

Currently using PLS Solicitors for a sale and purchase. I have been assigned one solicitor Sim to do both which has been fab as I’ve had one point of call throughout. Sim has been so helpful and responds quickly to any emails and questions I have. Found the online portal easy to use too. Highly recommend PLS and will definitely use in the future if I decide to move again!

Quotation team is trying to rip me off the money. £1000 for shared ownership fee, this is a joke and they are saying they can not change the quote. They've quoted me over £2500 for selling shared ownership. Other law firms are charging £100-£175 maximum for shared ownership fee. Such a waste of time! They are also rude on the phone and ignorants! I do not recommend. Stay away from this law firm.
The worst place I have ever had to deal with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
