Troublesome Possession Case

Ricky Sidhu had control of this matter, which was a difficult long drawn out process due to relatives occupying my deceased mother's property without consent. Ricky saw through the process from beginning to end, despite lots of hurdles along the way, thrown up the the unauthorised occupiers. He was sensitive, courteous but also extremely professional in the handling of this. Without Ricky handling this I firmly believe that we would still be no further forward.

Exceptional Experience with Talbots Law – Highly Recommended

I am genuinely extremely pleased with the level of service provided by Talbots Law. I have used their services in the past for remortgages and property purchases, but my recent experience—buying a property through auction—truly stood out. They supported me every step of the way with consistent communication and timely updates.

In my experience, no one does it better. I’ve worked with other firms before, but Talbots Law truly sets the standard. A special thank you to Mohammed Sarfaz, who has consistently delivered exceptional service. He is undoubtedly a valuable asset to the company.

Simply shocking

Avoid this firm at all costs. We were advised to use them through our estate agents, which was our first mistake. Communication throughout was absolutely abysmal. Phone calls went unanswered, emails were ignored for days, and we were repeatedly left in the dark with no explanation or updates. Different people became involved in the process without any introduction or notice, usually after others had suddenly stopped responding.

There was a complete lack of ownership or accountability. Several errors were made, including adding stamp duty to our completion statement when it was not applicable. Important documents we sent via Royal Mail (tracked and confirmed as delivered) were not acknowledged, leading to an unnecessary internal investigation.

Their attitude and manner were appalling - rude, dismissive and wholly unprofessional. Simple courtesies such as confirming receipt of documents or notifying us when money had been transferred were completely overlooked, leaving us feeling anxious and constantly having to chase them.

This firm turned what should have been an exciting and straightforward process into a stressful and frustrating ordeal. Steer well clear.

Financial Settlement

This was my brothers financial settlement. It's been very difficult. Ellesse has guided us through every step. Her professionalism was excellent, her compassion was heartening. During the FDR she was steadfast and thorough. I can't express my gratitude enough for how she helped my brother.

Divorce

During a very difficult time I had the pleasure of meeting Nirmal. Nirmal not only helpedmw with my divorce but also emotionally too.

At times I struggled with paperwork, understanding instructions from my ex husband's solicitor which Nirmal very kindly explained and made the difficult process so much easier.

I cannot thank Nirmal and her supporting staff for their help and support.

Inefficient, poor advice

I had a very disappointing experience with this firm. During an initial consultation, the solicitor gave clear advice on how the matter would proceed. However, when we later discussed the case in more detail, their position seemed to shift, which left me feeling uncertain and unsupported.

The firm produced a single letter on my behalf. Unfortunately, they did not appear to follow up on the response received—something I had reasonably expected, given the nature of the issue. Despite this minimal action, the total cost exceeded £600, which I feel is difficult to justify.

I left the process feeling that communication was inconsistent, the service did not represent good value, and I’m left questioning whether the billing accurately reflected the work done. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm and would urge others to seek alternatives who offer clearer communication and a more efficient service.

First class, friendly firm of solicitors, yet maintaining a high degree of professionalism. Communication, easy, clear and comprehensible throughout. Chris Milne wrote our wills for us with explanations and advice as we processed. I can only say, from my experience, I am confident, if you go with Onions and Davies, you won't be disappointed.

A client

Made an enquiring call here about some legal advice and from the very first pick up by the receptionist, they were totally helpful.
I was told that they'd get back to me and this as promised was done.
Looking forward to visiting them in person and thanks to friends of mine who recommended them to me, I was extremely pleased with my initial telephone experience via their receptionist. Thank you..
