WB Pennine’s Negligence Cost Me My Home – Do Not Instruct this Firm.

I instructed WB Pennine Solicitors for what should have been a straightforward property sale. What followed was a shocking display of negligence, missed deadlines, poor communication, and failure to act even when the court had granted extra time. Despite repeated reminders and my full cooperation, they allowed the sale to fall through — and I have now lost my home as a result.

This was not just a minor oversight; it was a complete breakdown of their duty of care and legal responsibility. My formal complaint is already in progress with the Legal Ombudsman, and a £100,000 compensation claim is being lodged through Sheffield County Court.

I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you value your assets, your time, or your peace of mind, avoid this firm.

They have not responded appropriately despite multiple emails, letters, and recorded phone calls. Regulatory action is now underway.

Amazing service!!

First time home buyers, we were completely new to the process, from start to finish WB Pennine solicitors have been absolutely amazing, every detail large and small was explained easily, at no point were we left confused about information regarding our documents, we were updated daily and at each point. All staff were professional, polite and friendly, we were never made to feel like we were a bother. I would highly recommend WB Pennine to anybody needing a solicitor.

I purchased my house through W B PENNINE 7yrs ago, and recently, I asked them to assist me again. This latter transaction sadly fell through, due to an inadvertent error by someone unconnected with WB PENNINE.

This solicitors' company has been hugely supportive of me, and throughout they have been friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and professional at all times. Furthermore, they've responded very quickly to my emails and phone calls.

I've had contact with a lot of their employees within the least 6 months, and the final person was Lyndsay Clark. It was she that dealt with my case latterly, and who supported me in aborting the purchase.

Lyndsay has dealt sensitively with me on this matter, and has recouped as much of my monetary outlay as possible - in fact, much more than I'd thought possible, and I'm so grateful to her and her colleagues for this.

Sharing my experience from 2 years ago. Claim against myself (civil matter) resulted in me being claimed against instead of my business. Wosskow took my money knowing the case wasn't going to go in my favour (according to the barrister) which they advised I pay for. The whole experience was a learning curve for me, I'd never take money from my customers knowing the outcome would be negative, I'd explained this to the trainee solicitor I was assigned to that should things not go in my favour, I'd rather settle the debt to avoid a CCJ. My story will be featured in an upcoming panorama episode.
