What can only be described as The most awful time next to a death!
Straight from the first phone call to Higgs LLP i was instilled with confidence ,the call back was within the hour.
I spoke to Katherine Cooke and i could tell she was very experienced and didn't bamboozle me with legal jargon ,she broke down the terms and conditions of my settlement agreement and even fought back with my employer over wording terminology that was to protect me even though they were paying for the services.
Katherine was very understanding ,did not apply pressure to me at any point to sign my rights away and did advise on if i did not wish to agree to their terms and give me a breakdown of path of procedure ,costs involved and a likely outcome and estimated figure should i be successful , A proper realist that i am grateful for in advising me through this.

Paid my bill that was agreed at the begining of proceedings. Then 3 months after they sent me another bill saying they did extra work for me that wasnt paid... I never asked them to do extra work for me. I agreed to the amount the bill was charged for. Had the cheek to ask me to go to a small claims court to recieve their money.

Following a life changing motorcycle accident in January 2023, leading to a lower limb amputation, I was referred to Andy Shaw at Higgs.
Andy was an extremely professional and supportive, though thoroughly sincere and personable.
The advice provided was invaluable and, through Andy and my assigned case manager, I was able to gain access to much needed physical rehabilitation support, prosthetics and mental support required. This was all dealt with through the 3rd parties insurance and Andy fought hard to ensure I got what I needed.
The process came to a quick conclusion in October 2024, with provisions made for my future care requirements. I could not have achieved this without Andy, and all the team at Higgs, support.
I was kept involved at all stages of the process and the communication was key to helping me not to worry about both the legal process and future impact of my injuries.
Andy and his team’s dedication to achieving a good outcome for myself and my family for my future care needs means that I can now return to living a fulfilling active life.

Swapped to Higgs following a serious motorbike accident and realised that the solicitors I was advised to use by my insurance company just didn’t have specialised knowledge of bike accidents. I’m so glad I did, they were professional, courteous and polite throughout the whole process. Laura who handled my case was great, she kept me informed at all times, responded to emails and calls promptly and made the whole process a lot less stressful than it probably would have been. I would recommend any biker unfortunate enough to find themselves in this situation to pick the phone up and speak to them.
