Over the past 45 years the firm has grown from a one man band to what is now a large regional law firm employing over 230 staff across 17 offices throughout Yorkshire. We offer the broadest suite of legal services in the region and are very much embedded in the communities in which we have offices. It took ten weeks from accepting an offer on the sale of our property to exchange of contracts, but that seems to be normal in the UK. Having got to that stage Hayley was very efficient in getting the sale completed for us and very willing to contact us out of hours as we were overseas at the time. We found Hayley to be very approachable and we would use that firm again if we needed a solicitor’s advice.

Good service on house sale.

After a few teething problems, getting lines of communication sorted, dealing with Becky Sparling, who was down to earth, clear and patient in answering all of our questions was a very positive experience.
This was despite a backdrop of a rise in Stamp Duty looming - which no doubt caused a general scramble to get everyone's sales tied up quickly.

Above and beyond

My whole experience moving house was very challenging and stressful however Rebecca was incredible and went above and beyond to alleviate as much of that stress as she could, she worked incredibly hard to make sure our move went through on a very strict time scale and kept me in the loop at every stage, it was a battle but she got us there, not all solicitors especially in our chain are easy to deal with but Rebecca was brilliant and did more than she should have ever had to do, because she cared, and that meant a lot to us, i would highly recommend her she’s fantastic at her job and is a credit to her firm, thank you Rebecca!

Amazing experience buying my first home!

Our buyers used this firm as a conveyancer and they were appaling. They were the source of numerous delays with all the other solicitors in the chain repeatedly stating that Ison Harrison were being either incompetent or deliberately obstructive. If in a chain and you see someone has appointed this firm I recommend you get them to change early to save a lot of pain later on.

We offer the broadest suite of legal services in the region and are very much embedded in the communities in which we have offices. Whilst some of the growth has been facilitated through acquiring other smaller firms, most has been organic as a consequence of clients recommending us or returning for additional services. As you can see the firm has enjoyed substantial growth over the past decade. We have always taken the view that standing still as a business is not an option for us. We have seen many law firms either go out of business or reduce in size over the years and we were determined not to struggle in the same way. We have therefore constantly looked to improve. We have looked for opportunities to grow our profile, the number of our offices, and the breadth of services that we offer. We have looked for ways to improve our internal processes, employee engagement and how we deal and communicate with clients. All partners and managers recognise the importance of communication and set the tone within the firm employing honest, open and prompt communication with clients and colleagues alike.
