I was involved in the sale of my mother's home, following her move into a care home.
I found the whole experience very frustrating: the process took @ 6 months, and communication was not always the best.
Additionally, it felt like I was doing most of the work: researching documents, filling out lots of questionnaires etc.
Needless to say, I was very relieved when the sale was finally completed.
I had thought that selling to a first-time buyer would have been more straightforward, but not the case. There seemed to be lots of delays, the exact cause of which was unclear.

Wouldn’t recommend! We could never get in contact with our solicitor, we would only ever receive emails if we went to a higher up colleague. Whenever trying to phone it would always ring out and if the phone was ever answered we were faced with a rude bad attitude!! With how much we’re paying them you’d expect a much better service. Our solicitor was Rebecca Sparling

I really want to leave a more positive review as overall the Ison team got the house purchase over the line ahead of April 1 deadline, in overall rapid fashion despite some challenges from transferring from a previous solicitor, but I can't. The whole process was soiled by lack of steady communication which only foster frustration and stress on my side. Too much was left to us to chase. I am now chasing a final response on a matter post purchase; if I get this response and a good one, I may adjust this review: at the moment though, I have a bad taste in my mouth.

Whilst some of the growth has been facilitated through acquiring other smaller firms, most has been organic as a consequence of clients recommending us or returning for additional services. As you can see the firm has enjoyed substantial growth over the past decade. We have always taken the view that standing still as a business is not an option for us. We have seen many law firms either go out of business or reduce in size over the years and we were determined not to struggle in the same way. We have therefore constantly looked to improve. We have looked for opportunities to grow our profile, the number of our offices, and the breadth of services that we offer. We have looked for ways to improve our internal processes, employee engagement and how we deal and communicate with clients. All partners and managers recognise the importance of communication and set the tone within the firm employing honest, open and prompt communication with clients and colleagues alike.
